We start off with the playful overture to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">The Barber of Seville <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">by Italian crowd-pleaser Rossini, followed by our Belgian favourite Sylvia Huang who will venture onto to the notoriously difficult <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Carmen Fantasie,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> a nod to Bizet&#8217;s opera of the same name.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Haydn\u2019s fresh <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Symphony No. 88<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\"> sounds a bit like a New Year\u2019s wish that has already come true. And yet the undisputed kings of the New Year in musical terms remain the members of the Strauss dynasty.
