But in 2021, Bach was knocked off his spot by a living composer: Arvo P\u00e4rt and his piece <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Spiegel im Spiegel<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">. Ever more fans seem to be developing a weak spot for the contemplative work of this Estonian composer. Sacred, mystical, hushed, spiritual&#8230; such are the words you might hear being whispered after his concerts.
