From Pergolesi\u2019s Baroque intensity to Arvo P\u00e4rt\u2019s meditative modernism and the contemporary creative voice of P\u0113teris Vasks, each composer seeks profound inner expression through musical restraint.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arvo P\u00e4rt\u2019s <strong data-start=\"3976\" data-end=\"3987\">Fratres<\/strong> is a landmark work of the twentieth century. Built from repeating patterns, the music unfolds in ever-changing colours and tensions. It seems to stand still while constantly moving, like a ritual that draws the listener into a timeless, contemplative space.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Against this meditative backdrop, <strong data-start=\"4281\" data-end=\"4298\">P\u0113teris Vasks<\/strong> presents a new work commissioned by <strong data-start=\"4335\" data-end=\"4349\">Casco Phil<\/strong>: <strong data-start=\"4351\" data-end=\"4376\">Veni Creator Spiritus<\/strong>. This world premiere places Vasks within a long tradition of composers who give musical form to inspiration itself. His language is both fragile and monumental, reaching toward the transcendent without losing its human warmth.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme concludes with <strong data-start=\"4634\" data-end=\"4662\">Pergolesi\u2019s Stabat Mater<\/strong>, written in the final weeks of the composer\u2019s short life.
