“Les extrèmes se touchent” — a motto composer Luc Brewaeys lived by. Ten years after his passing, Casco Phil and fellow ensembles pay tribute to one of Flanders’ most striking composers.

In this vibrant chamber concert, Casco Phil explores Brewaeys’ rich musical universe, including unexpected stylistic crossovers. His Brewaeys’ Haydn? reimagines Haydn’s famous Kaiserquartett, slowly dissolving the familiar theme into a colourful soundscape.

Influences from Frank Zappa — musical genre-breaker par excellence — are never far off. Composer Frank Nuyts, dubbed “the Zappa of Flanders”, presents a thrilling world premiere homage to his longtime friend.
