Music that slows down to make room for silence: that is the premise behind Casco Phil’s annual INKEER concerts. At a time when stimuli are piling up and the pace of daily life is constantly accelerating, this concert creates a moment of tranquillity.
For this edition, the Casco Phil ensemble presents a carefully curated anthology of musical minimalism, in dialogue with a professional meditation specialist. The tranquil soundscapes of pioneers such as Morton Feldman and Pēteris Vasks meet the subtle idiom of Flemish composers such as Karel Goeyvaerts and Benjamin Haemhouts.
Whispering textures and slowly shifting harmonies invite mindful listening. In this way, the concert evolves into an intense yet accessible experience in which music, silence and meditation reinforce one another, guiding the listener, step by step, towards a state of contemplation.
