For many years, Johann Sebastian Bach was ranked number one of the top 100 list of Klara, the Belgian classical music station. But in 2021, Bach was knocked off his spot by a living composer: Arvo Pärt and his piece Spiegel im Spiegel. Ever more fans seem to be developing a weak spot for the contemplative work of this Estonian composer. Sacred, mystical, hushed, spiritual… such are the words you might hear being whispered after his concerts. And this will be no different, with a programme featuring Silouan’s Song, Cantus in memoriam Benjamin Britten, and Festina Lente, three compositions for strings, harp and percussion.  A sizzling programme in which silence is mirrored, as it were.
