Franz Schubert – Winterreise, D. 911 (version for baritone and string quartet; selection)

Is there a better way to wake up than with a crisp morning walk? We think so. Add live music, poetry, a warm cup of coffee and a freshly baked pastry, and your Sunday becomes unforgettable.

Join us on Saturday 6 December at 8 a.m. in scenic Mariekerke (near Bornem) for Winter Morning Walks, followed by a cosy gathering in The Chapel.
For this fourth edition, Casco Phil’s string quartet explores Schubert’s iconic Winterreise, originally written for tenor and piano. This poignant song cycle tells the story of a heartbroken wanderer, drifting through a wintry landscape haunted by memories of lost love. The evocative music and spoken poetry create an immersive and intimate Sunday morning experience.

8AM: start of the walks, guided by Natuurgidsen Klein-Brabant

9AM: concert

10AM: coffee and cake
